Dominican Republic · Course 1
Pete Dye’s original Casa de Campo masterpiece runs directly against the Caribbean Sea, with seven holes using the rocky shoreline as the defining strategic feature. The course reopened after a complete restoration that refined the greens and fairways, renewed the bunkering and upgraded the practice facilities while preserving Dye’s original character.

The Links is the most approachable of Casa de Campo’s resort courses, but it still carries Pete Dye’s fingerprints in its bunkering, green complexes and angles. Wide fairways move through the resort’s rolling interior, creating a strategic contrast to the exposed Caribbean holes at Teeth of the Dog.

The Marina nine is one of the two original loops at Dye Fore, opening with the Chavón nine in 2003. Pete Dye routed it across high ground overlooking Casa de Campo’s marina, combining long holes, dramatic sightlines and elevated terrain as part of the resort’s cliff-top 27-hole complex.

The Chavón nine is the most dramatic of Dye Fore’s three loops, running along high cliffs more than 300 feet above the Chavón River. Five holes sit hard against the cliff tops, and Pete Dye mixed reachable par 5s, a potentially drivable par 4 and two demanding par 3s into one of Casa de Campo’s most distinctive stretches of golf.

Lagos joined Dye Fore in 2011 as the third nine, completing the 27-hole complex. Its name means “lakes,” and water comes into play on five of the nine holes, giving the loop a different strategic identity from the cliff-edge Chavón and marina-facing original nines.

Casa de Campo’s current golf package includes accommodations plus daily rounds on Dye Fore and/or The Links, with preferential pricing available for Teeth of the Dog. It also includes meals and drinks at participating resort restaurants, a touring golf cart and a selection of resort activities.
Come for Teeth of the Dog, but plan enough time to see the rest of Pete Dye’s work. Teeth puts the Caribbean directly into play, Dye Fore changes the setting with 27 holes above the Chavón River and marina, and The Links gives the trip a more playable resort round. That three-course mix makes Casa de Campo work especially well for a four- to six-night buddies trip or couples escape. The resort also removes much of the friction from a Caribbean golf trip: lodging, dining, practice facilities, beach time and transportation around the 7,000-acre property can all stay inside one base.
Stay on property in hotel rooms and suites or choose a private villa for a larger group. Casa de Campo’s villas range from 3 to 10 bedrooms, and resort stays include a golf cart for getting around the 7,000-acre property.
Casa de Campo is built to keep a golf group on property for the full trip. The Golf Learning Center adds TrackMan-equipped instruction and practice facilities, while the resort’s dining, spa, beach, marina, racquet, equestrian and shooting facilities give golfers and non-golfers plenty to do between rounds. A personal golf cart is included with resort stays for moving around the 7,000-acre property.

La Romana International Airport (LRM) is the preferred gateway and sits about 10 minutes from the resort. Punta Cana International (PUJ) and Santo Domingo (SDQ) are each about a 50-minute drive; private transfers are easy to arrange, and a rental car is usually unnecessary for a stay centered on the resort.
Four to six nights is the sweet spot for most first trips. That gives a group time to play Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and The Links without turning every day into a rushed golf-only schedule.
Current published hotel-guest rates are $400 for Teeth of the Dog, $325 for Dye Fore and $250 for The Links, plus 18% tax. Casa de Campo notes that rates are per person, per round and may change without notice.
Casa de Campo states that its golf courses are for registered resort guests only. It publishes separate rates for hotel guests and non-hotel registered guests, so lodging or guest registration should be planned together with the tee times.
Yes. Casa de Campo requires caddies on Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore; caddies are optional on The Links. The resort recommends reserving one in advance, although a caddie can also be assigned on arrival when available.
December through April is the easiest window for cooler, drier Caribbean golf weather. Casa de Campo schedules rotating course maintenance from May through October, so summer and early-fall trips should be checked against the current maintenance calendar before booking.

Yes. The resort uses a rotating maintenance schedule from May through October and keeps at least one course available while work is underway. The exact closure dates change by course and year, so check the current schedule before locking in flights and lodging.
