Kingsmill is one of the few resorts where a Tour-tested golf trip and a genuine slice of American history sit side by side. The River Course — a Pete Dye design and Golf Digest Top 100 layout — has hosted 38 PGA and LPGA Tour events, including the Pure Silk Championship, and closes with three riverside holes golfers compare to Pebble Beach. The Plantation Course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, plays through landmarks from Richard Kingsmill's original 1736 plantation. Beyond the fairways, the resort's marina, three pools, spa, and riverside dining sit minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Jamestown Settlement, making it an easy add-on for groups that want golf and sightseeing in the same trip.
Kingsmill offers resort guest rooms and 1–3 bedroom condos, five riverside cottages, the Palmer and Dye Houses at the Villas at Wareham's Pond, and a 7,000-square-foot four-bedroom private estate — all on the resort grounds.
Dining ranges from the riverside James Landing Grille — the only riverside dining experience in Williamsburg — to Eagles in the golf clubhouse, the River's Edge breakfast buffet, and The Mill bakery and coffee shop by the tennis complex. The marina anchors a full slate of water activities on the James River, and the resort also has three pools, a spa, tennis courts, and a fitness center.
Each property is selected for proximity to the next round, the kind of evening that fits a long golf trip, and the feel we want for the group.
