Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Erin Hills and settle into your lodge room or cottage. There is no championship round on the arrival day, so the afternoon is open for the practice area and getting acquainted with the property.
Dinner is at the Clubhouse, with its two-story stone fireplace and porch overlooking the course. Afterward, the Irish Pub’s terrace has fire pits beside the first hole. The illuminated Drumlin putting course gives the group somewhere to play after sunset.
Day 2
Spend the day at Lac La Belle, with time before the round for the pro shop, clubhouse history displays and Papa’s Porch by the range.
Craig Haltom’s redesign combines broad playing areas with some of Wisconsin’s most distinctive green complexes. The course moves through mature oaks and white pines, with open approaches, pronounced slopes and plenty of variety around the greens. It is a full championship round with a completely different character from Erin Hills.

Return to Erin Hills for dinner and the second night.
Day 3
Play Erin Hills with a caddie. The walking-only course crosses glacier-shaped hills, with deep bunkers, elevated greens and views across the open property. It hosted the 2017 U.S. Open and the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open.
The afternoon stays open after the round. Have lunch, head back to the cottage or spend more time on the Drumlin. Overnight guests interested in additional full-swing golf can play the Kettle Loop, a five-hole routing drawn from the championship course, subject to availability.
Stay for a final dinner and your third night at Erin Hills.
Day 4
Breakfast and departure. With both championship rounds already played, the final morning is free of tee-time commitments.
Where to Stay
Erin Hills’ four-bedroom cottages have private bathrooms and shared space with a fireplace, wet bar and poker table. They work well for groups that want somewhere to gather after dinner. The Lodge offers rooms and suites close to the first tee.
Both options keep the group at Erin Hills for all three nights.

Lac La Belle is approximately 20 minutes south of Erin Hills, depending on route and conditions. The itinerary involves one return trip between the properties. That short drive leaves most of the day for golf and time at the club.
