Its name honors Henry Shufeldt, whose backyard course in Oconomowoc helped inspire the area’s early golf history.

Lac La Belle does not operate a full on-site resort hotel, so most groups stay in Oconomowoc or nearby Lake Country. Good options include the historic Inn at Pine Terrace / Mon Bijou Inn, TownePlace Suites Oconomowoc, Hilton Garden Inn Oconomowoc, and other lake-area hotels or rentals.

A rental car is the easiest option, especially if pairing Lac La Belle with Erin Hills, Geneva National, Grand Geneva, Kohler, or other Wisconsin courses.
